Can I create emails without a designer?

Yes. You assemble an email from ready-made blocks in the visual editor — the layout and on-brand styling are applied automatically.

How does the brandbook work?

The brandbook stores your colors, fonts, logo and brand voice, and is applied to new emails automatically. You can create it three ways: upload a PDF (the AI extracts the style for you), fill it in manually, or generate it from a short AI survey about your business.

Can I edit templates?

Yes. Any template in the catalog can be opened in the editor — tweak the copy, images, blocks and styling to fit your email.

Is there an HTML export?

Yes. A finished email can be copied as HTML or downloaded as a ZIP archive (markup bundled with the images), then uploaded to your ESP. By default the images are served from the Mailvex CDN, but you can set your own hosting URL.

Can Mailvex handle both marketing and transactional emails?

Yes — the catalog has templates for both: marketing, welcome, transactional and triggered emails.

Do I need coding skills?

No. You build the email from blocks in the visual editor; the HTML is generated for you.

Can I use my own images?

Yes. You can upload your own files, pull a free photo from the built-in Unsplash search, or generate an image with AI. Everything is stored in the media library and ready to drop into your emails.

What if I already have a brand style?

Upload your brandbook PDF — Mailvex detects the colors, fonts and logo and applies them to your emails. If you don't have a finished PDF, you can set up the style manually or generate it via the AI survey.

How fast can I build my first email?

Just pick a template or start from a blank email, add blocks and copy — most emails come together in 10–15 minutes.

Is there a free way to start?

Yes. When you sign up, the free Free plan is activated automatically — no card required, no time limit, with monthly usage limits. You can upgrade whenever you like.

Can I import a finished design from Figma?

Yes. Paste the layout link and your Figma token — Mailvex breaks the email into sections, turns banners into images, and recognizes the buttons. You then refine the draft in the editor and add the links. It works best with layouts built to our guidelines, and any text baked into a banner image stays as part of the image.

Can I build an email from a screenshot?

Yes. Upload an email screenshot (PNG, JPG or WEBP) and the AI detects the structure and texts to build a draft from blocks. The actual images aren't pulled out of the screenshot — you'll get empty image slots to fill with your own graphics.

Can I edit an email with text commands?

Yes, there's chat editing. Describe a change in plain words — like “make the banner button blue” or “add a review block at the bottom.” Mailvex shows what will change, you confirm and it's applied, and you can undo with Ctrl+Z. The more specific your request, the more accurate the result.

Does the AI help with the subject line?

Yes. From the email content, the AI proposes several subject line and preheader variations — short and free of spam trigger words to lift your open rate. Just pick the one you like.

Can the AI check and improve an email?

Yes. The review gives you a readiness score and concrete improvement tips — what to tighten in the structure, copy and layout — on top of the technical checks for spam, contrast and broken links.

Can I quickly fill a template for my business?

Yes. Pick a template and briefly describe your business and offer — the AI swaps the placeholder text for copy that fits your niche, while the template's structure, styling and images stay intact.

How does the AI help with text inside an email?

Select a snippet and ask the AI to shorten it, expand it, rephrase it, fix the grammar or change the tone. The change is shown as a before/after preview and applied only after you confirm.

Can I translate an email into another language?

Yes. Translation updates only the text, keeping the structure, styling and variables intact — ideal for multilingual campaigns.

Do AI features count against my plan limits?

Yes. Generating emails and text, suggesting subjects, reviews, edits, filling templates, translation and image generation all draw on your plan's monthly AI limits. When a limit is reached you'll see a prompt, and limits refresh each month.

Are there hotkeys and quick access to actions?

Yes. Open the command palette with Cmd/Ctrl+K, type an action name and run it. There are also hotkeys for save, undo/redo, duplicate block and preview; press ? for the full list.

Can I review an email with my team?

Yes. The editor has comments — on an individual block or the whole email, with a “resolved” flag. You can also share a public link with comments enabled, so even a guest without an account can leave feedback.

How much does Mailvex cost?

What happens when I hit a limit?

Creating new emails, generations and exports is temporarily paused, but everything you've already built stays intact. Monthly limits refresh each month, and you can upgrade to lift the limits sooner.

How do I pay, and which methods are available?

Pay on the Pricing page in your account by card or via SBP. Your plan activates automatically after payment, usually within a minute.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In the Subscription section you can turn off auto-renewal at any time. Your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, with no further charges.

Is there a free plan forever?

Yes — the Free plan has no time limit. It includes basic monthly limits (emails, projects, AI generations and exports) and a Mailvex signature in exported emails; paid plans have no signature.

Will emails render correctly in Outlook and on mobile?

Yes. Emails are built to be compatible with email clients, including Outlook, and adapt for mobile devices. You can run a compatibility check right in the editor before sending.

Where are the email images stored?

On Mailvex servers — emails work straight away, nothing extra to set up. If you prefer, you can export the markup bundled with the images and host them on your own server.

Can I work with a team?

Yes — teamwork is available on the Agency plan. You can invite members (up to 10 seats) and assign roles: Owner, Editor and Viewer. Inside an email there are comments for collaborative edits.

Do I need to know how to write markup?

No. Emails are assembled visually from ready-made blocks, and the clean HTML is generated for you.
